Rachael & Eric Costa Rica wedding photos

Rachael and Eric had a wonderful wedding at the Doce Lunas hotel in Jaco, Costa Rica.  The Doce Lunas (12 moons) is located on 5 acres of jungle gardens and connected to the rainforest.  Wild life and diverse foliage abound the property.

Eric and Rachael first met in New York City in July 2018, after They were introduced by mutual friends. They hit it off right away and 6 months later decided to take a trip together to Costa Rica, a place where neither of them had ever been. They had so much fun together exploring the rainforest, hiking on lava trails, snorkeling off the shores of beautiful beaches, and ziplining through the cloud forest. They fell in love with the country and with each other. The first time they said “I love you” they were laying on the beach under the stars in Tamarindo, and Costa Rica always remained a very special part of their relationship. They got engaged in March 2020, right after the pandemic started. Although they had never considered a destination wedding before, all of the chaos and uncertainty at that time made the idea of a “normal” wedding far less appealing. They realized what they really wanted was to celebrate their marriage in a way that was unique to them as a couple and to share something special to them with all of their family and friends. A destination wedding in Costa Rica just felt right! They found a beautiful venue in Jaco where they could get married in the rainforest, and they had an unforgettable wedding celebration that spanned 4 days and allowed their guests to experience all the reasons they fell in love with Costa Rica! It was truly a dream come true and the perfect way for them to start their lives together.
